Open Level Burlesque: Must have completed at least one term in beginners or enrolled in beginners during the same term as you plan to enrol in Open Level. Developing stage craft and refining movement with reflections on core burlesque skills.
NOTE: This routine has a seated option for those students needing to be seated. It is an open level class suitable for all.

  • About this class: We’re going to take it slow, graceful and beautiful with this seated option class to Joni Mitchell’s reflective Christmas lament.

Making space for students who want to focus on upper body movement, who have mobility requirements or who would like to explore creating beauty through still, slow movement, this dance will take place mostly or fully seated (according to your physical requirements). We will embody formations and shapes through our arm movements, utilising Lizzy’s foundation in ballet movement. And we will be vulnerable in slow, sensuous and contemplative movement in a fast paced world.

At the end of your 6-week commitment, you have the opportunity to participate in our Student Showcase on December 12th. If you choose to join us for Showcase and require access support at Goodwood Theatre, please inform your teacher before week 4 of term.
