— Characterisation 101 —
Focusing on intent, thought process, story-telling and acting techniques, this workshop will be sure to equip you with the necessary tools to bring your burlesque persona to life.
— Characterisation Through Choreography —
Participants will learn a base choreography and then apply it to different songs, intents, and genres to see how this can alter the embodiment of the steps. It will display that these factors can, and in fact do, change the outcome of the routine.
— Props and How to Interact With Them —
This workshop aims to introduce a variety of props and how to utilise them dependent on characterisation. Participants will work with gloves, hand fans, and more to see how their interaction with these props can enhance a routine and relationship with the audience.
