Open Level Burlesque: Must have completed at least one term in beginners or enrolled in beginners during the same term as you plan to enrol in Open Level. Developing stage craft and refining movement with reflections on core burlesque skills.About this class: He's a true working class man. Footy shorts, thongs and a beer in hand, this Santa is the Aussie icon we all know and love.
Taught by our resident comedic queen, this silly yet saucy number will have you jingling your bells.
Saskia teaches musicality, comedic timing, physical theatre, movement to suit your body and ability.
She has 10+ years of professional burlesque performance experience, a background in multiple styles of dance, improv roleplaying (TTRPG style) and is a self proclaimed theatre kid.
(Routine involves a water pour)
At the end of your 6-week commitment, you have the opportunity to participate in our Student Showcase on December 12thShowcase Ticket Link: https://events.humanitix.com/the-naughty-list
What to Wear to Class: Be comfortable.
Song: Santa Claus is coming to town, Billie squire- the stroke, sixpence none the richer-kiss me & Jimmy Barnes-working class man
Active Level: This class may include floor work and consensual and guided contact with another person.
Costume: Santa hat, Santa beard, santa jacket, footy shorts, white singlet that you can tear off, thongs, sunglasses, mistletoe, shell pools and Beer bottles with water in them to pour (probably wine bottles with crafted labels to look like beer)
Costume is purchased at the student's expense under the guidance of your teacher.
Nudity Level: Pasties.
* Student Showcase is always highly encouraged but remains optional, your teacher will talk through this more with you during term.
